Bijnor is the Headquarter of District Bijnor situated in western Uttar Pradesh. The city is situated on the Moradabad Haridwar Section of the Northern Railway and is surrounded by the district of Meerut (80km), Moradabad (90km), Muzaffarnagar (50 Km), Amroha (80km) and Haridwar (90km). The city is well connected by Rail & National Highway (NH- 119) With Delhi ( 150 km) and all major cities of U.P and Uttrakhand.

The famous Kanva Ashram "Situated on the Confluence of Ganga and Malni river near Raoli, saw child Bharat growing into a Vast Empire to be known as " Bharat Varsa " Indeed the entire present District of Bijnor was in antiquity a Tapovon . Several place of historical importance "Vidur Kuti" "Parasnath fort " and Kotdwar lie in the vicinity of the town.
