serve as a
powerful medium for expressing the voices and performances
of the region's people in their own languages. It will preserve local culture and historical
heritage through
its
programming. Radio Sandesh will offer democratic, secular, trustworthy, and factual information to
all
communities and
social groups in the region.
Mission:Work towards increasing awareness about Radio
Sandesh Bijnor
among local communities.
Encourage and train local community members to participate in radio programs and their production.
Develop regular programming that is responsive to community needs and presented in local dialects and languages.
Launch ongoing initiatives where community radio reporters explore and share insights on local culture, history, and
issues.
Ensure community trust and make reliable information accessible through the community radio.
Objective1. Giving Voice to the Voiceless:
Community radio stations prioritize the needs and concerns of marginalized groups, ensuring their voices are heard on
issues that affect their lives.

Thematic Focus: The focus areas of the CRS have been on
Agriculture,
Health, Government schemes and Career Guidance. We are also working on generating awareness amongst
our
community on issues like AIDS, Gender Equality, Drug Addiction and Organ Donation etc.
Sustainable Strategies: Radio Sandesh Bijnor 89.6 MHz CRS
is
financially and technically supported by its parent organisation, Vira Charitable
Society Bijnor. We have done some government funded programs and also small fund has come from local
advertisers. We
also generate revenue from our membership, where we wish our members on their birthdays and
anniversary.
Apart from valuable listeners radio sandesh bijnor have calibration with Smart NGO and life time member of DAVP to
achieve their sustainable goals

MHz has an active listener base of nearly 37000 people and a potential listener base of over
one lakh people in district BIJNOR and Muzzafarnagar.
Ethics of Radio Sandesh Bijnor 89.6 MHz:The community radio
station
will always work in the interest of the community and particularly for the benefit of its
members, keeping their well-being at the centre of its work.
The community radio will ensure that no individual or group is harmed due to the broadcasting of any programmers or
activities or their content on channel, The station will seek consent from those individuals whose voices are being
broadcast.
The community radio station will always respect human dignity and will not broadcast any content that supports any
discrimination based on caste, gender, language, religion or identity.
The community radio will foster values like respect, honesty, transparency and responsibility among its radio
journalists.
The community radio station will always be open to feedback from listeners and the general public and will respond to
any criticism keeping in mind the station's ethical values.
CRMC Members and Core Team: We have a seven member
management
committee from within the community, giving us regular guidance from their expertise and experience.
We are
currently a team of 13 radio trainees, all from education background associated with the parent
organization.
We are equipped with handling all aspects of running a radio station.
Major Projects Undertaken: We have collaborated with
Parasher
Foundation for weekly program on Organ Donation. The show includes interviews of donees, donors and
families
of deceased who have donated organs.
